Touch
The meeting of the lily pad and the deep water- the surface and the reflection. Multiple layers of soft colour with gently textured yellow green and a contrasting rust red. There are deep pools of blue and the palest pink patches of sky.
"Touch"
A touch in a crowded place expresses a desire to find and seek out what is really vital - a searching and a meeting place.
The meeting of the lily pad and the deep water- the surface and the reflection. Painted as part of a mini series called "where we meet", in this piece I was intrigued by the beauty that I saw at this touching point which led me to explore the edges, openings above and pools below. I am repeatedly intrigued by nature and enjoy how it speaks to me as a painting develops.
There are areas of deep to pale greens, Prussian blue and rusty reds with touches of the palest pink.

Original acrylic painting on hardwood panel, varnished.
Framed in a white painted grain wooden frame
