Frequently asked questions.

What is acrylic painting?

Acrylic painting is a versatile and fast-drying paint medium that uses pigments suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion. It’s known for its vibrant colours, durability, and ability to mimic various textures.

How do I care for and preserve acrylic paintings?

Each painting is carefully finished: first with an isolation layer to seal the layers of paint and then with two coats of acrylic varnish for protection. It is advisable to avoid direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth if needed.

What inspires your artwork and creative process?

My art is often inspired by being outside in nature. I love to create a feeling of intimacy, a visual story, with expressive figures and evocative landscapes. My creative process involves exploring narratives and emotions to create poignant, captivating pieces that resonate with viewers.

How can I purchase your artwork?

You can purchase my artwork directly through my website’s online shop. Each piece comes with detailed information, including price and shipping options.

Can I request a custom commission based on a specific theme or idea?

I welcome custom commission requests. Commissioning a painting is an exciting step to owning a bespoke artwork made especially for you and your interior.

My job is to interpret the brief and create something new and original. I do not re-create my previous paintings – I couldn’t even if I tried as they are all created as a result of an intuitive process of layering and exploration. This way, each work is unique with only you in mind.

Please contact me through the designated email on my website to discuss your ideas and preferences, size, colour palette and personal elements (if any) that you would like me to interpret. Once agreed, a 50% deposit secures the commission.

Do you offer prints of your original acrylic paintings?

Yes, Fine Art Giclee prints of selected artworks are available for purchase. Each print is carefully produced to capture the essence of the original piece and comes with a certificate of authenticity. You can view available prints here.

How do you ensure the authenticity of your artworks?

Each original artwork is signed by me and also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. I take great care to ensure the integrity and uniqueness of every piece I create.

Can I view your artwork in person before making a purchase?

While my studio is not open to the public, I am very happy to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to visit.

If you are local to me, I am also happy to arrange for you to see a specific painting in your own home and will come to you.

I regularly participate in art exhibitions and gallery shows where you can see the artwork and meet me too. Follow my website’s events page for updates on upcoming exhibitions where you can view and purchase my art in person.

What is your return policy for purchased artwork?

I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, please refer to my return policy outlined on the website. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions.

How do you choose the titles for your artworks?

The titles often evolve from the emotions and stories behind each piece. I want the title to enhance the viewer’s connection with the artwork, offering a glimpse into the narrative I had in mind during creation.

Are there any upcoming collections or series I should be aware of?

Yes, I’m constantly working on new collections and series. Subscribe to my newsletter or follow me on social media to stay informed about upcoming releases, exhibitions, and exclusive offers.

Can you tell me more about the materials used in your artworks?

I use high-quality acrylic paints and mediums on carefully chosen surfaces to ensure the longevity and vibrancy of each piece. Details about the materials used are provided with each artwork listing on my website.
